The People In This Diner Never Expected A Live Performance By Dick Van Dyke!

The diners at a Denny’s in Santa Monica, California, could’ve never expected to be treated to a show with their meals, especially from the likes of Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke!

The diners at a Denny’s in Santa Monica, California, could’ve never expected to be treated to a show with their meals, especially from the likes of Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke. After posting a message to his Facebook page saying, “Breakfast at Denny’s, with a side of grits makes me want to sing,” Dick Van Dyke and The Vantastix (his a capella quartet) did just that. The group harmonized to the song, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” from the 1968 musical of the same name, in which Van Dyke starred as Caractacus Potts. As you can see from the performance below, Mr. Van Dyke has still got it, even at the tender age of 90! Although we’re not surprised; some of you may remember his dazzling performance of “Step In Time,” from Disneyland’s 60th anniversary celebration (click here to see that if you missed it the first time around). Check out the impromptu performance below, and let us know what your favorite Dick Van Dyke role is in the comments section.
