We’ve all heard this one growing up: that if you ate watermelon seeds a watermelon would grow in your stomach! To an adult it goes without saying that a plant needs light, soil, and air to grow. You may have also heard this tale about any fruit with seeds. If this were true we’d all have orchards growing in our stomachs. But, of course a watermelon is big and some tales conclude that the watermelon would kill you if it grew too large!
