When This Group Of Dancers Take The Stage In 1964, One In Particular Steals The Show!

In this episode of The Judy Garland Show from 1964, a group of six dancers perform their interpretation of a dance called “The Nitty Gritty.” While all the dancers have talent and excellent timing, one in particular has everyone’s eye, and you’ll soon see why.

From the moment the performance begins, this dancer in particular stands out thanks to his enthusiasm and talent. That dancer, whose name is Robert “Bobby” Banas, actually had quite the career!

Apart from stealing the show in this number, he also appeared in the film adaptation of West Side Story and got to kiss the lovely Marilyn Monroe in the film Let’s Make Love. Banas also played an uncredited chimney sweep in Mary Poppins.
