1,500-Year-Old Mummified Remains Found Wearing Some Familiar Footwear

A time-traveling mummy? Not quite, but that was the joke going around when archaeologists found 1,500-year-old mummified-remains with some peculiar, albeit familiar, footwear.

A time-traveling mummy? Not quite, but that was the joke going around when archaeologists found 1,500-year-old mummified-remains with some peculiar, albeit familiar, footwear. The corpse, found in Mongolia’s Altai Mountains, was wearing a pair of boots that looked strikingly-similar to Adidas famous Trainers (they even have the trademark stripes). Along with the boots, archaeologists also recovered various artifacts including a clay vase, a saddle, and pillows.

More significantly, however, is that this is said to be the first complete set of Turkic burial remains ever discovered. Archaeologists are excited to see what they can learn from such a find.
