‘Legends Of The Hidden Temple’ Is Coming Back And This Time, It’s For Adults

The ’90s Nickelodeon adventure game is making a comeback on Quibi and this time, it is going to be for the adults and not kids.

Legends of the Hidden Temple was a popular show back in the ’90s. If you are an adult of a certain age, you probably remember growing up on this show. In a world full of reboots, you may have been wondering when Legends of the Hidden Temple would be making a comeback. The revival is now fully underway, according to Complex. Quibi is the video streaming platform that will be launching the show all over again.

Kids used to compete inside of a “Mayan temple” and we cannot lie to you, the show was pretty addictive. Kids would compete against one another by completing physical challenges and answering trivia questions. The new version of the show aims to improve upon the past formula. Adults are now going to be involved in the show. It is not just for kids anymore!

The Temple Run challenge, the Moat Crossing, and Olmec are still present, so don’t worry.

In a conversation with The Wrap, executive producer Scott A. Stone said, “Bringing back ‘Legends’ for Quibi is a dream come true. I have been so lucky to be part of this defining millennial show, and now there is a defining millennial platform to go with it. I couldn’t be more excited.”

It is going to be filmed at a jungle outpost and the location is not known at the present time. The last show was filmed in Orlando, so this is a major change. The show has yet to announce a release date but word on the street is that Quibi will be launching next April. We cannot wait! The platform was initially unveiled by ex-HP CEO Meg Whitman and Jeffrey Katzenberg.

These Hollywood moguls are here to add to the streaming options that are already available and we are 100 percent here for it. The platform will cost $7.99 without ads and $4.99 with ads.

Their current focus is a simple one: they want to provide short-form entertainment to viewers around the world. A wide range of big names have been tapped to provide shows for this streaming platform as well.

Sam Raimi and Steven Spielberg are chief among them. We cannot wait to see what these bigwigs have cooked up. As you may have expected, the reaction on social media was overwhelmingly positive. Reboots are not always received warmly but it seems like this one was a good idea! Be sure to share this exciting news with all of the ’90s lovers in your life.
