McDonald’s Is Celebrating 40 Years Of ‘Happy Meals’ With Throwback Toys

A very happy 40th birthday to the McDonald’s Happy Meal. Now if that doesn’t make you feel old, then I don’t know what will!

Although consumers are looking for healthier food options these days, you can’t replace that feeling of getting a surprise toy with your meal.

To celebrate, the fast-food chain is releasing limited-edition Surprise Happy Meals that will feature popular throwback toys from the past: Mini Beanie Babies, Hello Kitty, Changeables, and the Disney 100 Years of Magic collection.

“After first being introduced in 1979, the Happy Meal quickly became a way for families around the world to create feel-good memories with one another,” a spokesperson said. “We’re also making exciting changes to the Happy Meal that parents can feel good about.”

The Surprise Happy Meal will be offered in over 90 countries starting November 7 at participating restaurants. We have a feeling you are going to see these toys all over eBay very soon.
