Hannah Stonjeck recently shared the story of her grandmother and the sandstone rock that she has been holding onto for some time now. This woman has been in possession of the sandstone rock in question now for 45 years.

The grandmother has the patience necessary to tap along the surface in a slow and deliberate manner so that she can loosen the rock up a bit. Once the family starts to gather around Grandma for the big reveal, that is when things really start to get interesting.

Once she starts to hit the rock a bit harder, the sandstone begins to split. We love watching the cracks on the rock grow bigger and bigger.

At long last, the sandstone rock finally begins to separate. Grandma even shares some key facts with the audience. As it turns out, she hauled the rock all over the southern Alberta area once she found it. The patience on display here is amazing.

This video is proof positive that patience and diligence pays off. The grandmother’s sandstone rock has been held onto all this time and when it is finally opened up? She makes the most amazing discovery. The family is gathered around her for the big moment and it is a sight to behold, for sure.

Once the sandstone rock is opened, there is the most amazing surprise inside. A fossilized crayfish was waiting for her all along! This grandmother’s patience paid off big time, didn’t it? You absolutely love to see it and we were today years old when we realized that you could personally hold onto a fossil for this long. Please do not judge us on this one, okay?
