Girl Gets A Letter From Windsor Castle After Dressing Up Like The Queen

After getting a positive reaction to the girl’s outfit on social media, her mother decided to send the photo to the Queen – and they got a reply!

When we go to the mailbox these days, we don’t often expect much more than a bill and perhaps some junk mail. For one-year-old Jalayne Sutherland, however, the mail managed to yield something much better.

The little girl found herself in a picture where she is dressed up like the Queen of England. She is wearing a hat, a double-breasted overcoat, some pearls, and she has on a white wig.

Her mother, Kaitlyn Sutherland snapped the picture while she was standing between her family’s corgis. The Sutherlands, who are from Ohio in the United States, sent the picture to the Queen and they thought that would be the end of it.

According to the Nottingham Post, the mother said: “We wanted to do something where they could all be included together. We are most definitely fans of the Royal family and truly admire how the Queen walks by faith.”

Kaitlyn decided to take the picture because her daughter was praised so much when she wore it for Halloween. Everybody seemed to react with some people even bowing down to her or doing the Royal wave.

After sending the picture, a letter showed up in their mailbox from the Queen’s lady in waiting for the Hon Marry Morrison.

According to the news outlet, it said: “The Queen wishes me to write and thank you for your letter, and for the photograph you thoughtfully enclosed.”

The letter went on to express the appreciation of the Queen who was pleased to see the photograph of the young girl in her “splendid outfit.”
