The Original Mickey Mouse Club aired from 1955-1958 and was an instant success with children all across the U.S. The cartoons, songs, and moral lessons made the show a hit with parents and children alike, and many of us grew up singing the signature song “M-I-C-K-Y M-O-U-S-E.”

The Mouseketeers were a lively bunch and most kids really enjoyed the skits and songs they performed. The Mickey Mouse Club, despite being well-like by most kids, was cancelled after Disney and ABC could not come to terms over a renewal on the show. Sadly, this classic show was not destined for a longer run. But, for anyone who grew up watching this amazing program, the memories will last a lifetime. Have a listen to “The Land of Me Oh My” sung by guest star Pamela Beaird in the wonderful clip below from The Mickey Mouse Club in 1956 – complete with a carousel and waltz scene to boot!
