How amazing would it be to capture a historic photo? Most of us can probably only dream that one day someone will look back on one of our Instagram pictures and point out that it was a major point in history. But that probably won’t happen.

However, one woman shared a pretty incredible photo on a Reddit forum. The photo she shared was a family heirloom and it’s easy to see why. The picture in question was a photo of Freddie Mercury in 1978.

It was taken by the Redditor’s mother when she was just 16 years old. She had snuck her camera into the concert venue and somehow managed to get the incredible picture of Freddie Mercury – much to the delight of Queen fans everywhere.

Imagine your mom being the one to get such a cool photo of Freddie Mercury? Well, that is definitely bragging rights on the internet.

It’s bold that she was just a teen and already sneaking in a camera to get a pretty close-up picture of a famous icon. It doesn’t seem like that big of a deal, especially now that people are allowed to take pictures at concerts. But back in the day, cameras weren’t allowed and if you were caught with one, you were likely to be kicked out.

The picture, which was causing a stir online, was posted to the Reddit forum called “OldSchoolCool.” And this picture definitely fits in with the Reddit forum’s title. It was also shared on Twitter where it got all the love!

The person who posted it said, “Took my mom to see Queen last week for the first time in 39 years, so here’s a photo she took of Freddie Mercury during their concert in 1980 in Oakland, CA.”

What do you think of the photo? Let us know!
