False Teeth Returned To British Man After He Lost Them Years Ago While Drinking In Spain

Paul Bishop lost his teeth 11 years ago in a different country and never expected to see them again, but that all changed when he checked his mailbox one day.

We don’t always make the best decisions in life, and it seems as if may have some of those unfortunate bad choices in his past. This includes going to Spain and getting so inebriated that he threw up.

I think that many of us have probably been in that situation at some point in our life but Bishop had a different experience than most. You see, when he threw up, he also lost his false teeth.

That was back in 2011 when the Manchester, UK resident was visiting a Mediterranean resort town with some friends. One of them had just turned 50 and they went on a bender in order to celebrate.

As the celebration continued, Bishop made the choice to switch from beer to cider around 11 PM. When the gang decided they would head to another bar, Bishop grabbed his cider and drank it down quickly. Big mistake.

Suddenly, he realized that it may have gone down quickly but it was going to come up just as quickly. In speaking with Sky News, he said he found the recycling bin outside and used it to his advantage.

After they arrived at the next location, one of his friends noticed that he no longer had his teeth. It seems as if he had lost his top dentures during the time that he had his head stuffed in a recycling bin.

In speaking with the Manchester Evening News, they said that they had gone back to look for the teeth but there were hundreds of bottles in the bin and they couldn’t find them. When they went back the next day, the bottles had already been collected.

This could have been the end of the vacation but Bishop decided to make the best of it. In his words, he had his eldest suit and he had made a promise to sing, so he decided to sing without his teeth in.

Now that 11 years have passed, nobody really expected anything to come of it. That is, of course, until he checked his mailbox recently and saw that the teeth had been returned.

According to the Manchester Evening News, there was a letter that was also sent along with adapters that said they had been recovered by a waste collection agency. The teeth had been kept in storage for a long time but recently, they were used by a technician who was working on DNA testing.

After discovering there was a match, he looked up the address and found where the dentures belonged. As it turns out, he had a voluntary swab years ago and it was to his benefit because he got the teeth back in “perfect condition.: Unfortunately, they don’t fit as well as they used to.
