Hidden Mother Photos

For collectors of antique photography every 19th century photograph holds a story worth telling. But, hidden mother photographs are so rare and collectible because they are at once haunting and heart-breaking. Before photography was common place, images of children were highly-prized. Infants and toddlers were held or propped up by their mothers for the duration of the long exposure process.
