5 Unsolved Mysteries From The Wild West

Amongst the warfare, treasure hunting, and gunslingers, the West was a pretty brutal place. It’s no wonder there are a few unsolved mysteries about this fascinating time in American history.

The Legend Of Queho

Renegade and outlaw, Queho, became a boogyman of sorts. He started out in life as an outcast. Queho was born to a Cocopah woman, but his father’s heritage is unknown. Because of his “mixed blood,” the tribe didn’t accept him. Queho was born with a clubbed foot, thus further adding to the tribe’s rejection.

The legend states that he started his killing spree with his own brother before leaving the reservation and wandering the mountainside. Over the next 40 years, many deaths and other crimes were attributed to the infamous Queho. in 1940, Quedo’s remains were found by a group of prospectors. His bones were purchased by an old nemesis. They were taken on tour before going into an exhibit. Eventually, District attorney Roland Wiley took the bones and gave Queho a proper burial.
