The official story of Billy the Kid’s death is that he was tracked down by Sheriff Pat Garrett and shot to death. However, new evidence was found that may make that claim a little more complicated. Decades after Billy the Kid’s supposed death, a man who called himself Brushy Bill Roberts came forward and asked for pardon for the crimes of Billy the Kid. The governor of New Mexica didn’t believe the man and Roberts died without proving anything. Thanks to new facial recognition technology, experts were able to look at Billy the Kid and Brushy Bill Roberts and found that they had a striking resemblance – in fact, they were almost identical.
