5 Unsolved Mysteries From The Wild West

Thunderbirds

Many newspapers in the old West reported sightings of giant pterodactyl-like birds in Arizona and California in the 1800s. One treasure hunter even claimed to have found remains of one such bird with quills as big as human fingers and feathers up to 18 inches long. Aside from the newspapers, however, no evidence has been found that such creatures existed.
