From The Jetsons to the moon landing to 2001: A Space Odyssey, the 1960s-1970s were filled with Space Age imagery and this translated into some really interesting designs that mixed the technical aesthetic of modern machinery with fantasies of what the future might be like. Some televisions from that era have incredibly unique designs unlike anything else.

The Mod base of this TV is amazing. The image comes from a 1970 ad for the Edison Continental television.

The 1970s JVC Videosphere was shaped like an astronaut’s helmet and came with a built-in clock among other bells and whistles.

The Philco Predicta TV (1960) looks like something the NASA flight command center would have used.
