Watch A Rare Look Behind-The-Scenes Of The Shining
Qatching some of the rehearsals taking place in between sets gives you an idea of what was taking place while the movie was being filmed.
If you happen to be a fan of horror movies, then you may have just seen the 1980 flick, The Shining, once or twice. It’s perhaps one of the best-known horror movies out there and for good reason.
The material in the movie itself is enough to have you jumping out of your skin, but the way that it was all put together seems to have played a part in it as well.
It’s unusual to get a look behind-the-scenes of this unique movie, but watching some of the rehearsals taking place in between sets gives you an idea of what was taking place while the movie was being filmed.
Quite honestly, they brought the entire film to life and they made it totally believable, even though it was a supernatural thriller.
The shining centers on the Overlook Hotel and the caretaker, who tormented his wife and plays in some of the most iconic shots in the movie. Jack Nicholson was absolutely brilliant in this role, and he has gone beyond being the star of an iconic thriller and some of his scenes have even made it into memes.
The movie wasn’t without its problems, including a fire that destroyed a number of sets and tension between Kubrick and Duvall that cast a shadow over much of the movie.
Even when the movie was released in 1980, it wasn’t exactly met with glowing reviews, but over time, it became one of the best-known thrillers ever to hit the silver screen.
