Who would have thought that some of the smallest props could become so famous? In 1973 several tribbles were donated to the Air and Space Collection of the Smithsonian. The acrylic faux-fur balls are one of the most well-known props from the original Star Trek series, even though they are basically just glorified pom poms as you can see in the clip below.
