Man Scores $20,000 Chair On Facebook Marketplace For $50

Anyone who thrift shops on a regular basis is bound to come up with a sweet find or two over the course of time. The TikTok user in this video just may have made the best find that we have seen in some time, though.
He’s a lucky buyer and we are certainly envious of this vintage chair that he has managed to rustle up. It’s a true treasure that will pay off handsomely for him, if he so chooses.
Justin Miller is the lucky fellow in question, as he came across the chair for just $50. The chair was being sold on Facebook Marketplace and he pounced on the deal as quickly as he could.
Justin is very confident that he found something special here. He believes that he has a knack for spotting vintage items that are truly diamonds in the rough.
The actual value of the chair could be much higher than even he could have possibly expected. He’s a design producer on television shows, so this has given him a lot of experience in this regard. Justin has a trained eye for these types of finds. The grand wingback chair that he found looks awesome, that much we know for sure.
Now, he is sharing a TikTok about the experience and we are even more invested in this story. Once he Googled the chair, he learned that it is a Frits Henningsen chair and that it can be worth thousands.
The chair came into Justin’s possession because of a Beverly Hills yard sale that went awry. A woman was tasked with selling off a couple’s things, in exchange for a piece of the profits.
Unfortunately, she was told that these types of sales were not allowed in the neighborhood. That’s when she decided that she would simply get rid of everything as quickly as she could, as opposed to trying to maximize her profits. Justin saw the Facebook Marketplace listing and obliged her desire for a same day pickup.
He did not look to take advantage of the woman and told her that the chair was worth plenty. She knew and was fine with the purchase. Now, Sotheby’s will be auctioning off the chair and Justin is hoping to take home at least $20,000 to $25,000 after he receives his half of the profits.
