With documented provenance linking it to the original source, this gold-framed lock of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s hair came up for auction in 2015 at Sotheby’s and sold for just over $50,000! It’s worth noting that a lock of Beethoven’s hair at the same auction event sold for the measly sum ofjust under $12,000!
