That said, if we had to pick one song that perfectly embodied what the music of the ’60s meant to us, it would be Little Eva’s 1962 smash hit, “The Loco-Motion.” Co-written by Carole King and her husband Gerry Goffin, the bubbly, catchy tune went perfectly with Little Eva’s harmonizing skills and The Cookies backing vocals.
