4) Blunderbuss

This word has two meanings. A blunderbuss is a heavy 2 to 3 foot long gun which particularly suited for close range firing. The early gun was in use during the 17th century and is considered by some to be the forerunner to the modern day rifle. In Victorian times, however, the term was used to refer to someone who was clumsy or foolish.
