5 Classic Summer Movies That Everyone Should See At Least Once
Of course, some films stand the test of time. These films have that air of youth and optimism we miss in a lot of movies these days. The hot afternoons and running around at night, the glamorous evening events, and those dresses! Here are some of the trailers for five of our favorite classic summer time movies.
1) Some Like It Hot
This is by far one of our favorite films of all time, all genres, color or not! Capturing the sultry and bawdy feeling of the jazz era, this sultry 1959 comedy makes some very good points while remaining utterly ridiculous is nearly every way. While Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis do their best in dresses, they are simply no comparison for Marilyn Monroe in this film. Her provocative dresses in this glittering movie are simply dazzling. You can see the staggering appraisal of the Orry-Kelly fringed dress Monroe wears on the train scene here. Some Like It Hot was banned in some places due to the controversial subjects of gender and sexuality the film raised, which made it quite the racy piece back then and it still is today. Have a look!
