If there’s one thing we can count on when the holiday season rolls around, it’s Charlie Brown. Every year for the past 50 years, A Charlie Brown Christmas has appeared on our TVs to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. But, did you know this holiday special almost didn’t make it on to the air? Before the first airing on CBS in 1965, studio executives didn’t think the program would succeed- after all, it wasn’t completed until just ten days before its intended air date. However, 45% of the television audience tuned in to see this wonderful holiday special (an estimated 15,490,000 households)! And, thank goodness it was a success because we couldn’t imagine Christmas without watching this classic special with the family every year. So enjoy the following clip (one of our favorite parts), and remember what the Christmas season is really all about!
