“When a woman’s at the wheel polyglass means more than mileage.” This Goodyear Polyglass tire commercial from the late 1960s shows the men interviewed for their knowledge on how their Goodyear tires have held up to mileage, followed by a montage of bad driving done by their wives.
The ad men (and husbands) really must have thought that women women were awful drivers who were easily confused. Enough potholes and the wives might damage the tires a man worked so hard to buy!
