The First Lady was known for having chic and expensive tastes and this was certainly true of her diet as well. Jackie was known for eating one costly, calorie-heavy meal during the day and then going hungry the other hours of the day. What was the meal? A baked potato covered in sour cream and caviar was her go-to “diet” food.

For guests or when she was hungry for a varied diets the trend-setting Jackie would serve elegant French food or seafood (mussels were a favorite of hers). To balance out her rich meals, she would go on fruit fasts, probably very important since her other meals were distinctly lacking in fresh fruits and vegetables!
