Less than 2 miles away from Stonehenge, archaeologist have discovered something amazing: a monument consisting of about 100 stones, stretching for several acres, that could be more than 4,500-years-old! Buried under 3 feet of earth, this “Superhenge” was discovered using remote-sensing technologies. Some of the stones were thought to be up to 15 feet tall, before they toppled. Paul Garwood, an archaeologist and the lead historian on the project, stated, “”Everything written previously about the Stonehenge landscape and the ancient monuments within it will need to be rewritten.” Get a closer look at this marvelous, mysterious find in the following clip!
