Ridiculous Designer Fashion That People Pay A Ton Of Money For

Let’s take a look at some of the most head-turning clothing items that were purchased for insane amounts of money.

Have you ever seen a shirt or a dress on the rack of a clothing store and think, “Why would anyone pay money for that?” Well, the world of designer fashion takes that to the next level. Sure, a lot of the runway outfits are designed with the intent of shock and awe and elements of those styles carry over into the season’s clothing lines for us regular folks, but some of those ridiculous pieces of clothing are coveted and sold at crazy high prices! Let’s take a look at some of the most head-turning clothing items that were purchased for insane amounts of money.

Mismatched Outfit For $10,000

If you think this look is more of something a toddler would put together if left unsupervised, you’re not alone. With the oversized floral shirt, the plaid shorts, and shin guards, it’s hard to understand just what the designers were going for. And let’s not forget about the fuzzy… scarf? We’re not quite sure what it is, but it really brings the outfit together. And that’s not a compliment. Believe it or not, this style comes from the Gucci fall/winter 2019-2020 line. With Gucci prices ranging from $500 to $2,000, this outfit probably cost around $10,000!

Dessert Dresses

The queen of color, Agatha Ruiz De La Prada, is known for her bright, eclectic designs and quirky fashion shows. This spring 2017 line, however, takes the cake. The Spanish designer actually sells most of her clothes at a reasonable price, usually ranging from $50 – $200, but the dresses worn at her fashion shows are sold privately… which is code for, “Stupid expensive.”

Rose Gown

Apparently the use of arms comes in second when talking about the latest ball gown trend. Why would you need arms for dancing, right? On the bright side, you don’t have to spend money doing your hair, seeing as this dress completely covers your head! This dress is a Valentina, and if it’s the same price as the majority of their gowns, it costs around $10,000!

Bubble Dress

The title really says it all. This dress was designed by… anonymous. Clearly, they were very proud of their work. This dress actually has no price. Whether than means it’s priceless or worthless remains to be seen. However, thanks to the internet fame of this disasterous dress, we think the price would probably be unbelievably high.

Trash Bag Dress

How much do you pay for a box of trash bags? $5? $10? How about $200? That’s exactly what it costs to wear this trash bag dress. Now, we know what you’re thinking. How could this outfit get any better? Well, what if we told you that you could also purchase a terrifying sea monster mask to complete the look? Yeah, that’s what we thought.
