You may have your own odd collections, but only the extremely dedicated will probably refer to themselves by the more official names that these collections confer. From military awards to sugar packets, here are what to call people who collect these objects, both common and obscure. While some of these names are commonly known, many are complete novelties -sometimes even to people who collect these items!

a collector of sand samples from around the world
Brandophilist:
someone who collects paper cigar bands
Cartophilist:
someone who collects cigarette cards
Conchologist:
a collector of seashells and other shells
