If you love spooky things, you might want to check out the Crescent Hotel at Eureka Springs, Arkansas. After all, it’s often referred to as ‘America’s most haunted hotel’. In fact, a number of TV shows have even featured the hotel, including My Ghost Story and Ghost Hunters. This Valentine’s Day may just be the best day to try it because the hotel has invited couples to stay.

Guests and staff have reported some unusual incidents taking place at the hotel. It is believed that people who once worked for or stated the hotel continue to stay behind after they die.

The hotel first opened in 1886 and was known as the Crescent Hotel and Spa. It’s not surprising that it should have the reputation it has, considering how it has a rather creepy atmosphere.

According to Arkansas, the Crescent Hotel was nominated for the Best Haunted Hotel of 2019.

It was nominated after 500 bottles were found with chemical ingredients resembling body parts, known as the Norman Bates ‘bottle grave’. The find was unearthed by the University of Arkansas’ archaeological survey team. They confirmed that the bottles belong to Baker’s Cancer Curable Hospital in the 1930s, which used to be on the premises.

A lot of attention has been directed at the hotel. USA Today has even nominated the hotel as the best-haunted hotel of 2019.

The general manager during the time of the voting, Jack Moyer said: “We hope fans and past visitors of our hotel will cast their vote for the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa which has been featured on 17 nationally syndicated paranormal television programs and one international program in Japan. I know that our hotel ‘guests who check out but never leave’ will appreciate it as well.”
