Three 100-Year-Olds Share Their Life Lessons & Regrets In This Inspiring Short

While no two lives will ever be the same, there is so much we could learn if we just took the time to listen to our elders.

There’s a famous quote often attributed to the brilliant Mark Twain that says, “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme.” This line is the first thing that comes to mind after watching the following video produced by LifeHunters, in which three 100-year-olds share their life lessons and regrets. While no two lives will ever be the same, there is so much we could learn if we just took the time to listen, (especially to our elders).

Cliff, Tereza, and John are the three centenarians featured in this short film, and together they offer insightful advice, charming anecdotes, and heart breaking memories. We don’t want to spoil too much, but a few things stood out. Tereza, who was 103 at the time of filming, has experienced some devastating moments; yet she still considers herself lucky. There’s also a great scene in which Cliff describes one of his beliefs: “I don’t have many failures. If I’m making a cake and it fails it becomes a pudding.”
