These pyramid toasters were popular in the 1920s. You’d set the toaster on the stove, which would heat up the metal. As you can see, the sides come out to form little pockets for you to stick your bread in. While the modern pop-up toaster is certainly much more convenient, these antique toasters are making a comeback, especially among people who like to go camping and use camping stoves.
