This Junior Driver Has An Inventive Dad

What to do when junior gets grabby for the steering wheel? Just let him drive, of course!

Did you ever feel like your children were getting too bossy in the car? Back seat drivers and grabby front seat passengers, many kids are naturally drawn to cars. Back in the days when kids could ride up front, this often posed a very real problem for the parent driving. This father got a bit tired of his tiny son randomly turning on lights, pulling at the steering wheel, and generally being a nuisance. The solution he came up with? Create a way for daddy’s little boy to get the experience of driving while tucked safely in the back seat! This 1949 home invention seems like the precursor to the many steering wheel and dashboard toys for sale when we were kids. I wonder where they might have gotten the idea?! Take a look at this fun video to see it in action.
