The Isley Brothers Take Us Right Back to ’50s With This Classic!

There’s nothing quite like the original to make your ears perk up. While many versions of this spectacular tune exist, the Isley Brother’s “Shout” is one of the most exuberant and nostalgic songs of all time!

The Isley Brothers were a group of ever-changing members- the 6 Isley brothers (Ernie, Marvin, O’Kelly, Ronald, Rudolph, and Vernon) and their brother-in-law, Chris Jasper. At the time of the release of “Shout” in 1959 the members were O’Kelly, Ronald, and Rudolph. If there was ever a melody to make you just feel good and want to dance it is this one! And, dance they do! The Isley Brothers have some serious dance moves in this clip from The Saturday Night Beech-Nut Show in November of 1959. Check it out below- you’ll be glad you did. And, you can hear the Supremes doing their big hit from 1964 right here.
