Although the Titanic sunk over 100 years ago, it still captivates the attention and the imagination of millions of people around the world.
The unsinkable ship struck an iceberg during its voyage of April 1912 and only 711 passengers escaped alive out of 2200 passengers on board.
The survivors are the ones who told the stories about what happened during the final moments before the ocean liner went under the water. In the video below, you can hear three of those eyewitnesses tell their stories.
The British Pathé’s news archives shared this clip from 1970. It has interviews with three survivors of the Titanic.
Those passengers, along with the others, were separated according to social class on the ship so the event is told from different perspectives.
