Bing Crosby’s Sprawling Mid-century Home Now Up for Sale

A lot of famous people have walked through those doors!

Bing Crosby and his second wife, Kathryn Grant, bought land in 1957 in Rancho Mirage, California, near the Coachella Valley and had the house built to spec to suit their taste. The entertainer had many A-list celebrities of the era over and it’s even rumored that President John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe had a tryst in the house. Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra all had homes nearby in those days.

Since then the house has been updated, but the best feature of the house is original: wide-opening doors to the outside to let in light and give that California feel. The couple only lived at the house for a few years before moving to nearby Palm Desert.

The home is now up for sale at a modest $5M, which for a Palm Springs area home of this caliber is not all that much money. Have a look at this glamorous home in the video below, which is from 2012 when the home was also up for sale (for $3.5M at the time).
