1950’s Cold Cream, Radioactively-Tested And Approved!

If you’re looking for a cold cream that’s powerful enough to remove radiation, look no further! That was the pitch Dorothy Gray Salon used in this commercial from the 50’s for their cold cream. We know that makeup has played an important role throughout history, and apparently it was important enough in the 50’s to use radiation during testing! The model in the following commercial was applied with dirt that was “just radioactive enough,” to register on a Geiger counter, to show that after using the cold cream, all of the atomic dirt was removed! Sometimes you see stuff like this from the past and just have to think, it’s amazing that any of us made it out alive.
