Aaron Whiteside was obsessed with vintage even as a young child, when his great-aunt would take him to thrift stores. In fact, Whiteside has been collecting old things since he was about 5 years old. But, only the finest (and functioning) 1930s artifacts will do. And now the collection has grown into a fully authentic time capsule home from the the 1930s where Whiteside lives surrounded by his collection.

Whiteside has said he first became entranced with the 1930s as a young child listening to the music of the era. Since then, the collector has surrounded himself with items that reflect a 1930s way of life. Everything from his cabinet gramophone to his vacuum to his stovetop is authentic 1930s.

The townhome he lives in was built in 1937 in Blackpool, (Lancashire) England, so his items fit perfectly in the home. But, Whiteside has a made a few alterations to the property – like using an old-fashioned clothes washing machine with an attached mangle and taking out the refrigerator entirely in order to make a more realistic 1930s home.

Whiteside has spent a considerable amount of money making his dream home come true, including buying dead stock German wallpaper and authentic linens, rugs, and furniture. He says he’s not yet found a partner who shares his passions and as such would probably need to live alone even if he met a special someone. Have a look at this gorgeous home in the video from The Daily Mailbelow.
