In the ’60s, the Whiskey a Go Go on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, Ca, was the place to be! The World Famous club — which launched the careers of bands like The Doors, The Byrds, Steppenwolf, and Van Halen — was even inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Known as the hub of rock and roll in L.A., the club is credited with making go-go dancing popular, and even hosted live recordings of several albums. Above all else, however, this iconic club was a place to go and boogie.
