In the Late 60s, Platform Shoes Took the World By Storm!

While platform shoes aren’t necessarily a bygone product of the past, they certainly don’t make ’em quite like they used to! The colors, the height, the intricate styles, all of which helped timestamp some of our favorite looks firmly in the late 60’s and early 70’s. We couldn’t help but smile after stumbling across this archival footage from the 70s. In it, a camera crew asks everyday people what they think about the latest fashion trend. “Ridiculous…and highly dangerous,” exclaimed one police officer when asked how he felt about them.
