Quilting is a tradition that dates back to the 18th century in the United States (though much earlier in Europe), which means there are valuable older quilts to be on the lookout for. Though quilts from the 18th and 19th century are much harder to find, there is a lot of value to early 20th century quilts. Some of the things to keep an eye out for include the type of fabrics used, the dyes (bright colors in particular) and certain patterns.
