In 1943, Farm Security Administration photographer Esther Bubley visited the Echo Park Amusement Park in Maryland, just 9 miles from D.C. The incredible photos she took that day give us a glimpse into all the happenings at the park. From sunbathers to folks waiting in line for the rides to soldiers on leave in uniform enjoying the day, these snapshots are a wonderful record of the era.
