Of all the classic songs from the 1960s that we still love to this day, The Four Tops sang many of them. “Bernadette” is one of their best hits, which seems oftentimes to be forgotten on classic radio stations. If you’ve always loved this song then you have to hear The Four Tops sing it live on The Ed Sullivan Showin 1967.

Like so many Motown songs of the decade, “Bernadette” was written by brothers Eddie and Brian Holland and Lamont Dozier nearing the end of their tenure with the world-famous Detroit label. Not only did this song capture our hearts (and reach #4on the Billboard charts), but The Four Tops’s performance of it is just stunning. From the impassioned vocals to the impressive dance moves, these guys really knew how to put on a performance! Have a look in the fun video below.
