When you think of Pop Art, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Bright? Loud? Andy Warhol? Dating back to the 1950’s, Pop Art was considered a reaction to the popularity of Abstract Expressionists, and blurred the lines between mass culture and high art. Advertising, Hollywood, Comic books…these were all themes that inspired many Pop Art pieces (such as the Andy Warhol “Campbell’s Soup Cans”).
