Get The Story Behind “Black Beauty”, The Mona Lisa Of Electric Guitars!

Musician and luthier Tom Doyle tells us the story of “Black Beauty”, one of the most famous (and rarest) electric guitars. Built as a prototype in 1954, Les Paul played this guitar for more than two decades at concerts, recordings and on the “Les Paul and Mary Ford” television show. The guitar was purchased for $335,500 at an auction by Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay.
