When Alvin Barr brought in his unusual vase to the Antiques Roadshow, he was shocked to find out the value it was appraised at. The grotesque ceramic art was thought to date from the turn of the century and was appraised at up to $50,000! After the episode had aired, a friend of the artist who made the vase contacted her. Betsy Soule then went on to send in photographs to the Antiques Roadshow of her as a young woman surround by her ceramics creations. The crazy part is that Soule was making pottery in the 1970s!
