Andy Williams’ Version of This Christmas Song Is The One That We All Love

There isn’t another voice in the world like Andy Williams!

Who else was a big fan of The Andy Williams Show? Williams’ voice was just so smooth and he brought a certain light-hearted quality to every song he sang. We have never forgotten his especially joyful rendition of “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and we listen to it just about every year around this time. There’s just nothing quite like this iconic holiday song.

Written in 1963 by Edward Pola and George Wyle, this happy song tells of “scary ghost stories,” a Victorian tradition that hardly anyone does anymore. This song has been a hit with families for generations and there’s no question why: Williams’ wonderful singing and great big smile. It’s hard to believe, but Columbia Records didn’t initially release this song as the promo for his Christmas album, instead opting to release Williams’ rendition of “White Christmas.” Have a listen below to this Christmas time hit.
