14 Classic Movie Lines We’ve Been Saying Wrong This Entire Time

We decided to take a look at some of the most popular movie lines of all time that are commonly misquoted.

Do you remember playing Telephone? This popular game involved a group of people in a line; the person at one end would think of a message and whisper it to the person next to them. That person would then relay the message to the next participant, and so on, until eventually the message made it to the end of the line. The last person to hear the message would then announce it loudly to the group. The goal of the game was to convey the message as accurately as possible from the first person to the last without the message changing. Of course, this rarely happened, which was where most of the joy of the game came from.

Time has a funny way of mimicking the game telephone, especially when it comes to pop culture. Music lyrics are often misheard, and once that happens, it’s hard to correct them in your mind (and not as fun, if you ask us). The same can be said with movies, so we decided to take a look at some of the most popular movie lines of all time that are commonly misquoted. Check them out and let us know if you’ve been saying these quotes quotes wrong! Is there a quote we missed that drives you crazy?
