13. To Remove Candle Wax

The same way that Vaseline lifts pigment and waxes in make up, it can also help lift hardened candle wax from a table. Apply some Vaseline, let sit for a minute or two, then gently rub away the wax. This should not be used on unfinished wood since it might absorb the Vaseline.

When Vaseline was first introduced in the 19th century, miners would use it(sometimes mixed with pharmaceutical agents) to heal wounds and scrapes. While its not a substitute for Neosporin, Vaseline can help with minor cuts scrapes and abrasions. But, now we’ll be using it all over the house to help out, not just for skin protection!
