10 Unforgettable Moments In Team USA Figure Skating History

How many of these Olympic moments do you remember?

9. 15-year-old Tara Lipinski wins figure skating gold in Nagano 1998. Her youth was one of the more remarkable parts of her story at the Olympics, but her energetic smile and dynamic performance clearly dazzled the judges. And she beat out stiff competition in the form of Michelle Kwan for top honors. Lipinski retired after winning her gold, but we still see her on the ice as a commentator for figure skating competitions.

10. Mirai Nagasu is the first American woman to land a triple axel at the Olympics. She missed a chance to be on the USA Olympic team in Sochi, Russia in 2014, but remained determined and committed to the sport and made the USA team in 2018. In this film, she shares just how she approaches this highly technical, very difficult jump. Her training paid off as she helped bring Team USA a bronze medal in PeyongChang.
